Morgans Blessing Day

We had the BEST trip to Utah ever this past weekend! We went for the main purpose of seeing Cole's sister Tara and her husband Mike being sealed to each other and their two angelic children in the Logan Temple! It was SO awesome! We are ecstatic for them, and they were absolutely radiant. Congrats you guys! I don't have any pictures right now, because I left my silly camera at my moms, but it is en route to Denver, so just wait for it! :)
The perk of being there for the sealing was that we were able to bless our sweet little Morgan while we were there so that we were able to have all of our families there with us to celebrate such a special time for her! It was SO nice! We did it at my Mom and Dad's home, so everyone was able to be there, and didn't have to miss church! Cole of course did a beautiful job with the blessing. I am so grateful for a husband that can do this for our family. He is the best. Here are some photos of her special day. We love you Morgs, and are SO grateful that you decided to join our little family!

When I lived in Ecuador before I even knew Cole, I had this blessing dress made specially for my girls when I had them. It meant alot to me to be able to have Morgan wear it, and I am excited for my next girls to wear it too!

Me and my little sweetie! You wouldn't BELIEVE how much we look alike! Well, our baby pictures do at least. My mom says it's like holding me when I was a baby! Kind of fun!

The only family shot we got of all of us...not the best one, but pretty good considering Payton had not had a nap that day, Morgs was about at the end of her rope, and Lincoln had only eaten candy the whole weekend! :)

Morgans Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Miles (my dad's parents) Cole's Grandpa and My Grandfather and Wendy weren't able to make the blessing, but we were thinking of them, and wishing they were there!

Another binge post...

Read LOTS below! I am at home from church by myself with a sick baby, so I can do these kinds of things! Enjoy! OH, and happy valentines day! We know it's been pretty lovey around here!

SUPERHEROS TO THE RESCUE!!!!

We had Lincoln's 4th birthday party yesterday! WHAT!!! He is four already...seriously. I am NOT that old. Anyways, we had a SUPER fun party! Lincoln right now is really into weapons...swords, slingshots, guns, anything of the like, so he decided that he wanted to have a superhero party! Courtney gave the boys superhero capes for Christmas and they are obsessed with them, and are always dressed like superheros, so I said "OKAY" and we were on our way!~ The party was a great success! Lincoln even told me. :) Here's what we did!

As the kids came, Lincoln and I gave them each their very own superhero cape complete with their initial that I made for each child. They were so cute! All but 2 kids wanted to wear their capes, so I considered it a great success!

They ran around for a little while with their capes on and played in the playroom and stuff and then when most of the kids arrived, we sat down at the table and they made their very own SUPERHERO masks! Not the greatest success, but that's because of lack of preparation on my part! (Hey, my baby was just in the hospital during all of my hopeful planning time! SOmething had to go by the wayside!) But most of the kids loved the masks. As soon as the kids were all done with that, I told them it was time for cupcakes! They were all stoked of course, and all sat down at the table to eat! I put the cupcakes on the table but then what to our wondering eyes did appear, but the dreaded CUPCAKE SNATCHER!!!

He came and STOLE all of our birthday cupcakes and ran away! The kids didn't know what the heck was going on. It was great! But the crazy cupcake snatcher did leave a picture clue as to where we could find our cupcakes and save the birthday party fun! SO I explained to the mini-superheros that everyone needed to put their capes and masks on and we would go on our quest to find the cupcakes! They were pumped about that, and we were off to find our first clue. The cupcake snatcher left pictures around our house/backyard as to where we could find our clues. Here's a little bit of what we did...

The kids getting their first clue!

Outside getting our next clue after we had FLYING RACES with our capes in order to obtain the next clue.

The crazy cupcake snatcher put a clue on the dryer! Little does he know, that this supermom doesn't frequent there much! :)

While the kids were at the clue in the playroom, the dreaded cupcake snatcher came again and dropped a whole bunch of purple "bombs" on the kids, and their mission before they could get the next picture was to diffuse (pop) all of the bombs to save all the people! They had so much fun!

There was even a clue on the flagpole!!!

The cupcake snatcher left some punching balloons, and the superhero's mission was to punch their balloon 20 times (we had to count all together! What can I say...I'm a teacher!) before we could get the next picture.

The last clue led them to Lincolns bedroom where the cupcakes were safely hidden. FEWF!! We found them, and the kids were able to enjoy their cupcakes! They were actually quite proud of themselves when they found those cupcakes. Way to go SUPERHERO's! Here they are enjoying the fruits of their labors...

(Cute masks that the kids made)

We then opened presents, and Lincoln was SO flippin excited! He got lots of great stuff, including a pair of SIX SHOOTERS that he has not removed since he got them! It took some coaxing to gently remind him that we couldn't take them to church.

All in all, I think the kids had a great time, and the house wasn't too demolished afterwards! Thanks to all for helping clean up! Now, hope that when you have a birthday party, THIS crazy guy does not show up!

If he does, give us a call, we know how to defeat him! Happy Birthday party Lincoln! We love you to bits!

Smoothie anyone?

I made smoothies the other morning for breakfast and Payton LOVED it! Can you tell! Silly boy! :)

And just for fun...here's Morgs on her changing table...so happy!

WHOOPS!! Little bit cross-eyed!

Little beauty

BOOOO to RSV

That's right...my little teeny tiny baby has RSV!! NOOOOOOOOOO!!!! It has not been the funnest thing! Here's her little RSV journey...

Payton had a nasty cold...cough, runny nose, irritability, diarrhea, etc., and decided that he still-much to my repeated coercing- wanted to smooch and hug (cough on and smother) his little sister that he loves SO much! It really was inevitable. So last Thursday, Morgs started coming down with her own little nasty cold. She started with the cough which is really sad! Then she lost her little voice which was probably the saddest thing that I have ever experienced! Listening to her cry was truly heartbreaking. It would barely come out as a whimper for heavens sake! This was either Thursday or Friday night...I can't remember! (That's what sleep deprivation does to you!) It didn't really get any worse, so that is why we took her to church on Sunday. She just had the stuffy nose and cough. No fever, nothin...so we took her to church! Probably our first mistake (but it won't be the last, I can assure you!) The next day, she was still about the same, maybe starting to get a little bit worse, but still no fever, so I was fine! But that night, she would NOT sleep unless someone was holding her. Poor little thing! So the next day, after trying in vain to get ahold of my pediatrician ALL DAY, I finally got her in for an appointment. The Dr. checked her, her levels were fine, she didn't have a fever, and her oxygen levels were great. She told me to call back if anything changed, or if she got worse at all. But she also asked us to sleep with her on our chest that night propped upright. Not very conducive to parental sleep, but that's alright. We wanted her to be comfortable of course. She slept fairly well, but then at about 5:00 that morning, she started to get really fussy, and I couldn't really calm her down very well. She did that throughout the morning, and then my Dr. called to check on Morgan, and I told her that she just wasn't doing so well. Really fussy, and just not happy all around. So they told me to bring her in again, and so in we went! When they checked her levels again, they were lower, and not the best that they would like to see in someone so young, so they told me that I needed to take her to the hospital. NOT something that a mother wants to hear! I didn't take it very well, and was a bit weepy. :( No one likes to see their child in pain, and have there be nothing that you can do about it! Anyways, so we checked her into the hospital and they checked her levels and decided that they should put her on oxygen because her blood oxygen level just wasn't high enough. THey also sucked the HECK out of her nose with this cool sucker-thingy (medical term for sure!) and sent a sample to the lab to check for RSV. We got her all comfortable, and they came back with the results that the RSV was POSITIVE! BOOOOO!!!! So, we had to keep her there over night just to make sure that everything was alright and that she didn't get any worse. We are SO lucky though, because it seems to be a really mild case of RSV. It never went down into her chest...just stayed up in her throat/nose area and just made her super congested and stuff. But she has had a problem keeping her blood/oxygen levels up, so that is why we had to stay the night. Her pulse/heart rate also has been pretty high so they can tell that she is having to work a little bit harder to breathe, so they sent us home with oxygen! So now here we are at home chillin with our little oxygen baby! She is so cute! We are so glad to have her home, and feel very blessed that this was as mild as it was. Here's hopin that it doesn't get any worse! I think that she is on the up and up though, so we're glad for that.

Not feelin so good:(

A little better!!! Perkier at least! (Sorry about the bright photo! I couldn't get far enough away from her to make it a good photo! I was holding her in my lap after all, and heaven forbid I get off the bed and take a good picture!)

Boy are we grateful for modern medicine that allows us to help our little babies when they need it most! Thanks for all your love/support/help as we helped our little baby girl through this! Here's to hoping that she passes all of her sleep studies/awake breathing studies so that we can head to Utah on Thursday!

FIRST DAY AT CHURCH!!!

So Morgan made her big debut last Sunday for church! YEAH! We had SO much fun, and it was so nice for me to get out of my house! I really miss church when I don't get to go, and I have gotten a little bit tired of asking different people to watch the boys during sacrament meeting because Cole GETS to sit on the stand! So- with all that said- it was time! Poor Morgs was coughing and had a stuffy nose the whole time and I was getting some GREAT looks from those surrounding me, but she looked adorable in her first ever dress, and church was wonderful. Here are some pictures of her in her first little Sunday dress! (Thanks Linds!)

She was less than thrilled that I was taking MORE pictures of her! Heaven forbid! Oh MAN she is cute...I don't care who you are! It's true! Anyways...yeah for church!
