Quite the predicament...wouldn't you say??
Quite the predicament...wouldn't you say? Cute little Payton is into just about EVERYTHING! If it can be destroyed, you can be assured that Payton will find it, and do so! He is getting better, but he truly is just like a bull in a china cabinet! I affectionately call him my little Tasmanian Devil. THIS particular predicament occured when he was playing a game with Lincoln and Carson and decided that instead of play the game, he would sit inside the box instead! He definitely got stuck, and instead of being a good mom and taking him out right away so as not to traumatize the poor boy- snapped a quick photo instead! Don't worry, he got out all in good time. Now we have it documented! :) Silly boy!

Posty Goodness
So- as usual- I am late on the posts! But as I sit- Lincoln is at school, Payton and MOrgan are sleeping- and I don't feel like working out! So the next most logical thing to do is to blog! Right?! Friends have predicted a month late on my trip posts (pretty darn close!) with boatloads of pictures! Not far off guys! Thanks for the support. :) Now I just need to figure out how to be as productive as possible with Lincoln gone to school EVERY DAY! Thank heavens the kids nap while he is at school! I can really whip out the projects now! :) Well, maybe I will settle for cleaning the house like I probably should. But where's the fun in that honestly?! So for now, enjoy the posts below- I think there are 5- all the way through Jackson and Bear Lake!
First day of Preschool...sniff sniff
So Lincoln started his first day of REAL preschool! The other preschool he went to was just 2 days a week, and he was at the rec center. This NEW preschool that he goes to is at a real elementary school and it is for 5 days a week! YIKES! I think it is maybe a bit much for such a little dude, but he really loves it so far. He loves his teacher, Ms. Snow and also the teachers aid, Ms. Kiran. They are both so great, and Lincoln is really going to have a great time. He really needs this whole school thing. He does GREAT with some structure, and thrives on learning new things. The kicker was that I thought that I would be just great with this all, but when all the kids lined up together and started to walk into their classroom, I got all choked up, and might have shed a tear or two! Who would have thunk!? It was so weird seeing my baby go off to school. From now on- for about the next 20 years or so- I will have a child in school and will no longer be able to dictate where and when we will be able to go places during the school year! The district calendar does that for us now! :) I love it...bring it on! Congrats Lincoln. You will be a rockstar at school!

Cutest little helmet head/hair! We rode our bikes to school so his hair was a little mussed. What can you do. He loved riding his bike!

Link and his little buddy Stella. Their plan is to just go through school together in all the same classes and then get married. Lincoln asked me the other day if he could marry Morgan. I explained to him that he could not and then he turned to me and said..."okay then, I'll marry Stella instead!" Good plan buddy! Stella rocks!

Garden Update
Our garden this year is finally booming! A few things didn't turn out, and we were pretty bummed about it, but what can ya do! We ordered some things off of a gardening website- and NONE of the things worked! I don't know if they got frozen on the way here or what, but I have no strawberries, cucumbers, or snap peas (we had some seeds from last year that produced lots and lots, but not the ones from the website!) So weird! But we are LOVING what we have now! We have tomatoes coming out our EARS which is great because we use bottled tomatoes LOTS AND LOTS! So we are pumped about what is in store for us!

Our sad little potatoes. We tried something new this year, and THIS is all that we got! Welp, now we know, and definitely wont do that again next year! :)

Biter Biscuit anyone?
Morgs had her first biter biscuit.

She did not love it!

Wait a minute...I guess this isn't so bad!

Okay... guess I'll be happy about the whole thing and eat it!
Morgan does NOT like baby food! She refuses to eat it! If I have to feed it to her with a spoon, she will not partake. But she sure loves anything that is chunky and can either feed herself or have someone feed to her! Hey, easier for me!

Reunion and a Hike
A couple of weekends ago- Morgan and I were able to hop on a plane and head to Utah for the weekend to attend my TEN YEAR High School Reunion! WHAT! I can't believe that it has been 10 years, but at the same time, I can't believe it's only been 10 years. Seems like lots longer than that! That was a lifetime ago right? Anyways...I had such a wonderful time! The wonderful girls that put it together did a marvelous job! There weren't very many people there- shame on you those that weren't!- but it was SO much fun to see those that did come! We had a wonderful dinner, a nice slide show with pictures of people in high school, and now- and lots of fun decorations. We had some fun raffles too, and it was great to see everyone again. Thank you so much girls for putting on such a fun party(ies)!
While I was gone, Cole did a few fun things with the boys! They were able to go on a really fun hike and had a great time. Cole is so good to do this with the boys. They had a great time, and always talk about hangin with their Dad! What a great dad. :)

Jackson Lake 2010
As soon as we were done at Bear Lake (see post below) we headed on up to Jackson Lake with my family! I don't believe there is a more beautiful place in all the world! Seriously...it is so surreal! I LOVE IT! We had a blast this year too. Just like Bear Lake- the kids just go WILD with their cousins all the time! My cutest mom in the world went HOG WILD with toys/games/treats/presents for the kids and all of us actually! On our way home Lincoln told me that his favorite part about Jackson Lake was getting all the presents from Grandma B and playing with his cousins all the time! How cute is that! Anyways... This year we were able to stay in the cabins that are right on the water, and we had so much fun! The back decks to all of our cabins have doors that led right out to the beach/rock front about 20 yards away. So the kids were able to play at the water to their little hearts content! And play they did! My parents brought some really fun remote control boats/jetskis that the kids LOVED to play with! They threw loads of rocks in the water, swam, played with dinosaurs/animals courtesy of Grandma B, swam, played make believe, and swam some more! They were in heaven! The nicest thing about Jackson Lake is that there is SO much to do! We spend oodles of time on the boat skiing/wakeboarding/surfing/tubing, but then we can also play on the beach, read lots of books, go into Jackson and play, ride our bikes, go on fun hikes, and all sorts of other stuff! So we are never bored, or lacking for things to do! That is for sure. :) But for sure- my favorite thing to do at Jackson is this...

OH how I miss water-skiing! It is probably my favorite thing to do in the whole wide world! I LOVE it...and have been skiing since I was real little. I wasn't able to ski last year because I was pregnant with Morgan, so it was so nice to be back at it again. There is just something about being so tired that I could probably throw up- but not being able to let go because the water is so unbelievably smooth that all I can do is squeal with delight instead! :) I was fairly out of shape before we went on this trip, but quickly got my arms and core back into shape by skiing a couple of times a day. The lake is ALWAYS perfect! There were times that we were even letting the kids tube on the glass- that's how good it is mostly.
It was so much fun to be with everyone, but we really missed Baby Rach. She is an intrical part of the Miles family, and she was sorely missed! We were so glad that we were able to talk to her for at least a few minutes though on the Skype! The kids thought that was pretty sweet!
What a fun trip. My parents are talking about doing something different next year. We will be so sad to not go to Jackson though...that is for sure! We love this place, and would live there forever if we could! Hooray for Signal Mountain Lodge! Maybe Cole and I will become the lodge directors and live in the little cabins forever. Maybe...until next time Jackson Lake!! Thanks Grandma B and Grandpa Dick. :)

Morgans first time in the big kid tub!!! SHE LOVED IT!!!

Grandpa Dick enjoying some yunch!!

Happy Morgs enjoying the shade

Having a lazy afternoon when there was a ripple on the water! :) Our cabins are right behind us!

Cole and I took our turn to bike to the top of Signal Mountain. Probably the COOLEST bike ride ever! SO much fun. And so beautiful! This is Cole and I at the top with the Tetons in the background.

Ty and Mal

Me and cutest pregnant Court Yeah for baby girls!

The fellas eating breakfast- waiting to go out on the water. Rock, Dick, Cole and Bry

All the kids eating their usual breakfast of cereal (the more sugary (word?) the better!)

Cutest pic 2010 of my 3 little angel bums!

Courtney, my beautiful Mother, Morgs and I. I LOVE how Morgan is looking up at Court in this picture! She LOVES her Auntie Court!

Me and my little buddy/appendage

Typical Payton...always wielding a weapon of some sort!

The whole fam on the hike around Jenny Lake- minus the baby Rach of course. :( We missed you Rach!

Wow- this was a hard one to acquire!

Talkin to Rach...Hi Rach!
Grandma B and Grandpa Dick with all their Grandkiddies

This is how the photo shoot REALLY was. :)

Happiest baby...I just might someday pop she is so cute!

We were at lunch at Leeks Pizza which is a short boat ride away from our little cabins and Payton was running around on the gravel and the poor kid took a nasty fall! He scraped all of the skin off of his nose, and skinned both of his knees up- again. Poor dude. He wanted a band-aid- so Cole obliged!

Malerina and Morgs

Mt. Moran

Gorgeous view of the lake and the Tetons....Yowsers!

Grandma B gave us all these Old Navy T's for the 4th of July, so here we are sporting them for the family pic on the back of the boat at the base of Mt. Moran! It's tradition you know. :)

So Lincoln, Payton, Mylie and Drew all wanted to catch a squirel and were trying to set a trap for one- trying to solicit anyones help. Tyler was the only one to agree and before long, we were setting up all sorts of traps. They set up this one here, but it wouldn't work. Too far away from people! So they set one up RIGHT BY Cole's chair and waited and waited.

Wouldn't you believe it...we actually CAUGHT ONE! It sure took a long time. The kids were long gone by this time, but Tyler was intent on catching the little bugger! The squirrel actually took the bait a few times right from under the box- but the boys got smart and figured out how to catch him, and they DID IT! It was the craziest thing ever! So here we are letting the poor scared little thing go. Don't worry, he wasn't too scared. He was back 10 minutes later for more food.

Payton workin the easy ski! What a stud.

GO SLOWER- he says!
Until next time!
(Sorry for all the pictures! Well- I'm actually not sorry. They're for me anyways right?! Chris Gordon bet it would be a month after our trip I posted with about 30 pictures...you were wrong Chris! I was a week earlier- and there were 31 pictures! :) )
