Return of the Binge Poster

So, there are a few posts below...the binge poster has returned! PLUS, there are plenty more where those came from! It seems that we have a lot to blog about these days! Enjoy. :)

SNOWMAN TIME!!

Cole and Lincoln were able to get out for a few hours and make this SWEET Snowman! Both of them needed to get out bad. Payton went out with them, but has a bit of a problem keeping his gloves on. Silly boy! So he came back in to play with Grandma B.
The snowman is SO cute! He is a racer snowman, but his name is NOT Frosty! DON'T call him Frosty. You will get a MEAN crusty by the big brother. :)

Dad's gift to the boys...

So in preparation for Baby Morgan to arrive, Cole has been working on these AMAZING trucks for the boys to have when she got home. They are a HIT!! Cole made these trucks out of wood, and they have been SO much fun for the boys! The first thing that Lincoln said when he saw the flatbed truck was..."Well, I need some rope or something! What am I going to tie other trucks on here with?!" So, they promptly headed to Ace Hardware where they purchased some mini bungee cords that have been absolutely PERFECT! Thanks Dad! Nice Bribe. :)

The pictures don't do these things justice. They are absolutely AMAZING!!!! They should be put into a contest or something. I LOVE them! The boys think they are SO sweet.

MORGAN SMITH

Well- I neglected a few things on the last post didn't I! I didn't even put any of her stats on here! Goes to show that I was on just a FEW Percecet's, and that I was a little bit loopy. :)
Anyways, she was born at 7:36 a.m. via c-section on Friday January 8th, 2010 and is just as perfect as can be! She was 7 lbs exactly, and 20.5 inches long. She has a pretty small head too- much different than her brothers! We LOVE her! She had a pretty great hospital stay! Here is a little bit of her story...

Cole and I got to the hospital at 5:15a.m. on Friday morning to check in- and they got me all hooked up to monitors and things. It takes TWO HOURS to get everything all prepped and ready for heavens sake! I was getting pretty anxious- if you can imagine! Sitting on that uncomfortable bed waiting to go back and get sliced open so that I can finally meet my little sweetheart! I don't care what anybody says- that's HARD!!

Just getting to the hospital! Notice the progression of my cheeks as the IV fluid gets pumped into me!

OUCH! Just received the old IV and MAN do they hurt! By the time all was said and done, I had 4 different IV holes...not my best moments!

On the operating table...it takes a big woman- literally- to allow this to be posted!

Anyways, finally at about 7:15, the nurse and I entered into the operating room and Cole stayed back and got dressed in his hospital duds. I sure did miss him then! I had to get my Spinal- and that doesn't feel very good, especially when it is a nurse holding my hands instead of Cole! But it's all good. So, finally, they got me all numbed up, and laying on the table and my Dr.- Dr. Lamb- and the assistant Dr.- Dr. Grover- came in and got started! I was a bit nervous because Cole wasn't there yet, but he came in just a few minutes later all dressed up and was there by my head. I was ready then. They sliced and diced, pulled and tugged, played tug of war with my intestines, and by 7:36 a.m. our little sweetheart was born! I was SO out of it by then, but they showed her to me from behind the curtain and I LOST it! Well, I actually lost it when I heard her first little cry. She has quite the set of lungs! Not loud, but very persistent! :) They got her all cleaned off and brought her to me and I got to hold her for just a few short minutes before they whisked her away to the nursery. Cole went with her, and I was able to take just a short nap while they stitched me up. :)

Fresh out of the hopper!

After the surgery was over, they brought me into the recovery room, and called with her Stats and I was just elated! I couldn't believe that she was finally here! They brought her in just a few minutes later so that I could nurse her, and MAN was she a champ! She has been since the minute she was born. But Cole and I still couldn't decide on a NAME! With our boys, all it took was for me to look at them and they were named, but Cole and I couldn't do it with her! We had quite the difficult time. We were going back and forth with 3 names: Morgan, Lydia and Norah. We love all three, but when it finally came down to it- almost 12 hours later!- we finally decided that a little baby Morgan is what she was- and it fits her just perfectly!

She has a MEAN MULLET!! That's what I'm talkin about!! Cute little tinker tot!

The boys first time meeting their new sister! Lincoln is a little bit leary- just like he was with Payton. I don't think that he loves seeing ME in the hospital bed. He doesn't think that is the funnest thing. But Payton didn't have any problems! He hopped right up onto the bed, gave Morgan a sweet kiss and a little hug, pushed REALLY hard on my stomach, then jumped off! :) Silly kid!

She has been a sweetheart since she was born. She has been quite the chow-hound too! She was QUITE impatient by 2 days after she was born for my milk to come in! We actually had to supplement her with some formula for a few feedings before my milk finally came in 2 DAYS EARLY!! Lucky for her! But she has been so content and cute since then.

My angel Mother was able to come in the night before Morgan was born so that she could take care of the boys, and I tell you what, I don't know how we would have done this without her! She is the BEST! THANKS SO MUCH GRANDMA B!!!

First family pic! WHAT?!?!?! I have a family of FIVE!?

Cutest little cry face!
We were able to bring her home from the hospital on Monday afternoon, and she has been such a joy since. Posts to follow about the first week home! WELCOME MY SWEET LITTLE MORGAN!!!

Getting in the car...get me out of here! (Me meaning Mom- and I'm sure Morgan was anxious as well. Not to mention Cole! So I guess all of us! :) )

SHE'S HERE!!!!!!!

Our sweet little Morgan Smith was born this morning at 7:36 a.m. after a nice quick c-section! Oh how we are smitten! She is the sweetest baby ever. The delivery went super good, and we couldn't ask for a more perfect baby! She has all 10 fingers, and all 10 toes, and looks a lot like her brother Payton with Lincoln's nose! She also looks a REAL lot like my baby pictures, so maybe I did make something that looks like me! :) Anyways, I am going to go and take a nap, but just wanted to post a few pictures of our little sweetheart. Cole is just SMITTEN!!!

We'll try to get some with her precious little eyes open for tomorrow! Thanks for all of your prayers and love and support!

PRIMARY!!!

So- Today was Lincoln's first day of SUNBEAMS!!! Oh, we are so excited for this little guy to be moving on. He was SO great in nursery, but needed to actually be in Primary last year ! Just missed the day by a few months. But he had a great day today. He really loves his new teacher (who just happens to already be one of his favorite people! Thanks Heather!) I was told after the meeting, that Lincoln was quite the chatterbox! He talked the entire time during sharing time! Wow- I don't know where he gets that from! :) Anyways, I am so proud of my little buddy that isn't quite so little anymore. His favorite part of the whole day was having Marshmallows and Veggie Straws for snack! He was a bit put out that they didn't have toys to play with the whole time, but he was pretty excited that they learned some new things, and that he already knew some of those things that they were learning about! He loved singing "I am a Child of God" and was so stoked that he knew EVERY WORD of the whole song! What a little dude. Payton even did well in Nursery! He was having quite the hard time with Lincoln coming and going in and out of Nursery, but since he didn't have to deal with that today, he did great! I love my boys.

Countdown to baby girl is getting really small now! Just 4 more days! (That is if you don't count the rest of today- which I don't because it is almost bed time!, and also if you don't count Friday- which I don't because I have to be at the hospital at 5:15 a.m.!!! Anyways...here's to baby girls and getting everything ready! YEAH!!!!

Keeping the Monsters at Bay

So, with our new sword fetish, this is what the boys do every night. It helps to keep the monsters away! I think I need one for my room!

One point to the metal desk

So the other night, the boys were playing with Cole, running around and getting tickled and stuff- and I happened to be at my desk organizing and putting stuff away- you know. Cole says to me "Mind, make sure you shut that drawer, I don't want anyone to run into it." To which I said..."Oh Cole, no one will run into it!"

This picture TOTALLY does not do the bump justice. I think that was too sick to my stomach to actually take a great picture, hence the one that you are seeing now.

Poor little sweetheart!

OOPS!!! Not two minutes later, as I was actually shutting the drawer, Lincoln- faster than he had ever ran I'm sure- ran STRAIGHT into the edge of our desk! The drawer was open and he hit the very side/corner. Luckily, it didn't pop open or anything like that, but as you can tell from the pictures, it was a bad one! This thing swelled up faster and bigger than anything I have ever seen! It was the SCARIEST!!!!! thing in the whole world! I am glad that Cole was here, because I was kind of freaking out. Cole was very calm- although he was kind of edgy which I think made me a little bit MORE freaked out- because he isn't normally like that! Lincoln was such a trooper. It sounded like someone had taken a hammer and hit the side of the desk as hard as they could- it was so loud! Link cried pretty hard, but got over it pretty quick. He couldn't open his eye up all the way the next day, but he is fine now, and is sporting probably the best shiner I've ever seen! Needless to say...

Desk=1 Lincoln=0 Better luck next time buddy!

Here he is the day after showing a bit of his bruise. You can't see real well, but today at church, he was quite the spectacle! The bruise has actually moved to underneath his eye as opposed to just his lid and forehead. Nice Mom...

(are you loving the food that is still on his face from lunch earlier? We haven't gotten out of our jammies for quite a few days now, or combed our hair apparently! We're on vacation!)

Poor kid had a hard day...earlier that day, on the other eye, his sweet brother BIT his eye, and that is why the OTHER eye is black! Sorry bud...I promise to be better from now on!
