Happy Fanksgibin!

Wow!  We had the most WONDERFUL Thanksgiving ever!  This year, we were SO blessed to have ALL available Miles family here for a few days!  It was SUCH a great time.  We had such a yummy thanksgiving, and of course, lots of fun inbetween and after!  Everyone arrived on Wednesday night late, and we were all healthy to start!  That isn't very often that something like that happens!  So, Thursday morning (Thanksgiving) I woke up early and got the Turkey in and a few other things done so we didn't have to do them all at once, and it was great!  Bry and Meg were able to stay here with us, and it was so fun!  I love those two lovebirds! It was so nice to get to know Meg a little bit better.  She is such a sweetheart and fits in perfectly with our family.  She might not feel the same about this visit to Denver though!  The poor thing got SO sick- along with almost everyone else!- and threw up all over the place. Poor thing.  We all still love her though!  :)  Anyways...back to the day.  So shortly after everyone woke up, the Derricks and the Mini-Miles got here and the boys went up to the church to play in a Turkey Bowl with some guys from our ward.  They had a great time, and no one even got hurt!  So that is always a plus!  When they were finished up at the church, they came back here and nabbed all of the kiddos and walked down to Slavens and played their own little Turkey Bowl for a little while!  The kids had a great time, and they all got back just in time to sit down to dinner!  It was so nice to be cooking in the kitchen with all these lovely ladies!  The prep wasn't that hard at all with all of us around!  We were able to use my sweet neighbor Kelly's kitchen (she was gone with her family!) so that made things 100x easier!  We used her fridge, appliances, oven, everything!  So nice- seeing as how i have a TEENY kitchen.  But we got dinner onto the table in perfect time, and had a delicious meal!  We had TONS of food, and it was all so yummy!   The best part of the day though would have to be when we were all able to Skype with M&D right before dinner!  Oh man- we missed you guys (and Rach too, of course!) so much.  It was nice to be able to talk to you and kind of have you sitting right there at our dinner table.  It just isn't the same without everyone.  So after dinner, the boys slicked the kitchen up SO quickly!  That was SO wonderful. Thanks guys.  Then, we packed everyone up, made a bunch of popcorn, and headed down to the Movie Theater!  We went and saw the new Pixar movie "Wreck-it Ralph".  It was cute.  Everyone loved it, and it was fun to go all together.  Since we ran out of the house so fast, we came back home after and all sat down (well, I guess we all kind of stood up in the kitchen!) and had our Pies that were SOOO delicious!  I love Thanksgiving.  I love being all together.  It was so wonderful. What a fun day.
The next day (Friday) everyone kind of slept in and just hung around for a bit, and then when everyone got here to our house, we headed out to a Bouncy House and had a BLAST!  Oh man!  They didn't know what was happening when we all showed up- but we had the greatest time ever.  We were there for TWO HOURS and we were all so exhausted by the end!  The kids were all starving, so we decided to head to Cici's Pizza and get an all you can eat Pizza Buffet for $5!  I thought it was delicious, and the kids went to town!  Especially Lincoln- of course.  It was great to see him go back and forth so many times with his little plate filled to the brim with more pizza each time.  So cute.  After Cici's, we headed back to the house for a bit of rest before our big Minute to Win It party!  I had planned a few games to play with everyone, and it ended up being SOOO much fun!  The kids all had a great time (with a few punches thrown and screams given intermixed) and I'd say it was a success.  You've gotta see some of the pics that Meg took of the whole party.  My camera ran out of batteries JUST as the party started- total bummer!  So we'll have to rely on her pics for this one.  It was a fun and different thing that we did though.  But- during the party is when the trouble started.  Poor Mal was totally sick during the party and was throwing up that night.  We thought it was maybe the Cici's Pizza that did it to her, but when everyone else started to get it, we didn't know what was going on!  At one point or another, each of the adults were experiencing some flu-like symptoms.  Well- everyone but Court and I!  We're pretty much immune to everything.  The only child that got it though- thankfully- was the Libbster.  So sad that she got it, but so glad that no other children did!  It really just wouldn't be a Miles family Holiday without someone having the flu now would it?!  Mal was sick that night, then it hit poor Meg during the night!  I felt SOOO bad for her.  Sorry Meg!  But just so she knows, there has been some sort of bodily fluid (pee, poop, barf, blood, etc.) on every inch of our house at one point or another- so no worries!

(Some of that was inputed from my weekly e-mail to the fam- so sorry it changed from journal to letter format!  Too much typing. :)  ) Beware- PICTURE OVERLOAD!

Together at last- FINALLY able to watch a show together! ;)

Master Pie-maker

2 little cuties!  Holy smokes these two were feisty together ! That's what you get when you have older siblings and you need to fight for everything that you have!

Mal was so great to keep the kitchen clean as we went along!  Hardest job for SURE!

Mal and Meg were in charge of some really fun activities for the kids!  here Ty is helping Lincoln get fitted for his Turkey Hat

Ruby and Mallory-  Ruby LOOOOOVES Mal!  Who doesn't?!

Can you believe how old and pretty Mylie Jane is getting?!  I don't know how she ate that dinner- she has NO TEETH!

Payton was TICKED that we didn't eat dinner earlier- so he snacked on a few crackers.

My favorite pic of the week- I love my sissy!

Stockton REALLY enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner!

Pot-o-taters

Ruffian table!

Totally mature and awesome table. ;)

This is in the middle of the night- Thanksgiving night. Stockton was NOOOOT sleeping at all, but it was because he was STARVING!  Growth spurt much?

Morgs sure loves to jump!

Best place ever for this dude!  Get some of that energy out!

Mal was kind and gracious enough to watch Stockton while we jumped!  What a wonderful aunt!  They had lots of fun watching the rest of us crazies!

It was SUPER hard to try and get all of the cousins for a picture together.  SO- we got these 4...

and then FINALLY got these 3 stinkers!

Court and Rock- jumpin it up!

The triple flip- Bry is in the back in blue, Meg in the middle in red, Ty flipping in front in gray.  We took about 12 shots of this- this was the most in-sync we could get.  No synchronized olympic sports for us apparently.

November Goodies

Since I am SO far behind on my blogging, I am going to try and catch up a little bit!  November was SUCH a fun month for us!  It is so fun with Stockton getting bigger all the time!  He's starting to do lots of fun different things.  All of the kids are getting SO big, and changing all the time!  Being a mom is SOOO hard, but it is so fun- and most of the time it is most definitely worth it. :)  Here's the random November highlights in picture form!
Pizza Party!  These are ALWAYS so fun!  I think Cole was gone one night, so we got some pizza and had a party!  Booyeah!

I love this handsome boy!  Sorry the focus is on the crazy Rhino in front of him and not on his face!

One night, we decided that we wanted to make "Thankful Turkeys"  It was a total hit!  The kids loved it, and they were perfect adorning our walls the whole month!

Stocktons Thankfuls: My Toys, Eating!, My Hands!, My Blanket- Payton was gracious enough to make him a turkey.  He also made Cole one.  Such a nice boy!

Paytons Thankfuls: Shows, Dad, Mom, Morgan, My Brothers

Morgans Thankfuls: Dad, Fruit Snacks, All the Stuffs, My Brothers, Mom

Moms Thankfuls: Snuggles from my family, Technology, My Bed, The Bishop :), My wonderful husband, our home, my health, my beautiful children.  Cole also did one (that Payton constructed for him) but did it later, so it missed the whole picture opportunity.  He's very thankful though!

One day we packed up and went to the bounce house!  The kids were on holiday break, and we were going CRAZY!  They loved Monkey Business- but it was a big crowded!  We still had a great time, and I got a lot of great planning done for our big party on Thanksgiving!  Everyone is coming to our house for the holiday, and we are SOOO excited!!!!  YAHOO!

Kinda hard to get a good shot with my phone at a bouncy house.  What can ya do!  They still had fun!

Payton showing us his rather large muscles!

Again with this handsome face!

We were at Costco one day and saw this GINORMOUS Minnie Mouse, and the kids thought she was SO hilarious!  You can see that Stockton is laughing SO hard!  hehehe

Per tradition- these lovely ladies and I attended a 10 o'clock showing (the first one!) of the LAST Twilight movie!  We went to all FIVE of these shows together, and were kind of sad to see it all come to an end!  Not so much the movies- they are alright- but the company with the girls is always SOOO much fun!  Thanks Laura and Steph!

Morgs got a new Snowsuit, and wanted to wear her coat at ALL times.  Such a cutie!

Payton went on a date with Cole, and chose his favorite- The Weinerschnitzel!  Actually, this was the Hamburger Stand, but they have weinerschnitzel hot dogs/corn dogs there.  He LOVES those, and thinks it is the beezneez to be able to go on a date with his dad!  I don't blame ya buddy!

Biggest project of the month: Getting these chairs finished!  We were gifted an amazing table and chairs set from the wonderful Lands family (they had it for over 20 years!) and we gave them some love (4+ hours each chair!) and now they are donning our kitchen table!  We haven't quite made it to the table.  It was a LOT of work, so that will have to wait for maybe next year.  We have had these tables and chairs for over a year now, just getting around to finishing them!  I LOVE them though!  Thanks babe for all of the hard work!  We had fun finishing these together!  Here's to another 20 years with them! ;)
